Samsung Set To Release Bending Phones

“Smartphone’s are about to get a lot more flexible.
Handsets with bendable and foldable screens could hit shelves as early as February 2017, according to a report from Bloomberg. Smartphone maker Samsung is preparing to release two such devices next year, hoping to get out in front of an emerging trend in smartphone tech, per the report”, announced the Huffington Post.

This would be quite an addition to Samsung’s ever growing range. We wonder what its usability would be like, whether its display will be as HD as the Note series and whether or not it’s actually a durable phone. It sounds almost toy-like.

It’s quite a hard concept to grasp, how they can make something that requires a sturdy base to hold the motherboard, screen etc in place, the technology involved must be quite advanced.

Samsung has been working on this concept since 2013, they’re clearly putting a lot of research into the so it can beat the competitors who are also opting to create a bendable smartphone.

One of the models is set to fold in half like the older flip phones, remember those?? The other is a 5-inch screen that stretches into an 8-inch screen. According to our source both would use “organic light-emitting diodes to create a thin, plastic screen that can bend without breaking.”

We’ll keep you in the loop regarding its launch, confirmed specs and more!
